Agreed, I thought this is going to change in the next major NXE update.

Does anyone else think this game has a very David Lynch Eraserhead-esque feel to it. The setting is so dark and empty, and the industrial, mechanical sounds you have in many areas.

Example

Ye i go the same vibe off this. I found a few spots in the game disturbing too.

Finally got round to starting this...

...some of it is just plain sick. I mean little kids that have been hanged, swinging around on a rope...kind of makes you wonder about the people that made the game.

I'm properly stuck. And for the first time it really makes no sense what to do next.

You might have to speed up right as you approach it too.

I was thinking that but that hasn't been working so far. At least I know I'm not a complete idiot. Grumble grumble.

It's 'limbo'. Last I checked, that wasn't exactly supposed to be sweetness, light and puppy dogs.

Doesn't have to be images of children being hung either.

Its not like I've got a massive problem with it, just thought it was going a little too far with that particular image.

After you skyline down the rope, then have to skid down the ramp and activate the arrow sign after you jump. There's absolutely no indication that the sign itself can be interacted with, nothing up to that point in the game has ever suggested as much. The only way I figured out is to repeatedly slide and jump to your death over and over again, until accidentally pressing it in mid-air.

Really clumsy stuff.

I was having problems with that very bit the other night, rather stuck in my own personal Limbo, unable to progress and forever fated to freefall into oblivion.

Not forever fated, that was an exaggeration. But for a good forty minutes I was becoming increasingly frustrated, unable to find a ledge to land on, repeatedly failing to make it past the buzzsaw and not even getting close to that potentially interactive cable that I might possibly be able to grab onto, all the while being continuously reassured by the Goddamn strawberry floating arrow sign that what I was attempting to do was worthwhile.

I was finding a lot to like with the game up until that point (though enjoyed the surroundings and gentler puzzles and enemy encounters of the opening forest level a good bit more than later industrial sections,) but ended up turning it off harbouring some pretty negative feelings towards it. Looking in here and getting the solution from your post, Melly, I now think those feelings may have been mutual.

Stare directly at the sun. Good for you. Vitamin D.

Yeah, frustration prevailed over everything else at that point, and what withit being so close to the finale, it inevitably distracted me from whatever there is to be read into the ending. Was just glad to see the back of that one section.

On 106% completion now, pretty sure people out there are on at least 108%. Really would like to think all the secret stuff amounts to something else being revealed in the game at some point.

I was - not any more though.

Found loads (7) of those bastard eggs myself but alas, teamwork bumped me down the ladder. That said I did pair up with someone and we found a few more together.

I would be putting more time into it but I've got too much work to do, sadly.

Finally finished. Brilliant game, but some of those puzzles in the last third involved so much trial and error it bordered on being ridiculous. Only used a faq once, which is quite an achievement for me.

Twice for me so far  they really are quite devious later on. Still not had a single achievment and I am near the end. I think the game could have given better signpopsting on some things especially egg collection as I did not realise that was an option until I read it on here and since then I have not seen any.

It's cocktail time!. Then again when isn't it.

Really? I got my first achievement in the first minute of the game. That first achievement also informs the player of the eggs.

Must be q bug. I did start playing as the demo and then purchased the full game whilst still playing. Maybe that's the reason?
