Nah, I am a massive fan of the series, hell I read the books almost once every year as well.

I watched H2Oil today and I'd say everyone should watch it.
Whatever side you are on the debate about whether or not the tar sands in Canada should be exploited I think you will find this interesting.
It's shows just how powerful the oil companies are that a high ranking member of the Canadian government (She's in charge of saying where companies can drill) is also an executive who's still employed by an oil company.

I'd urge anyone with any interest in the environment to give the film a go.

10/10 but utterly depressing watching people try and fight big oil.

I have listed two Hitchcock's above it and claimed that two of them are damn near perfect, what do you think?

Poncho wrote:Wait Banjo...you haven't seen The Goonies? That is bizarre.

Is it really? I wasn't an eighties kid and have routinely expressed disinterest or dislike for the most popular keepsakes from that era, so eventually I just stopped watching them. This is the one occasion where I'm missing out, isn't it?

*blinks my eyes*

You should watch it though. I mean, it's just a classic kid film.

I'm in a war/war era type film mood for tonight. Which should I watch out of the following:

Black Book
Downfall
Flags of our Fathers
Downfall

All Blu Ray of course 8-).

The fourth choice is supposed to be The Hurt Locker.

Black Book has Carice Van Houten's tits. Downfall has gloomy old Hitler.

It's very much the wrong word to use, but I enjoyed Downfall.

Which of the remaining three should I watch tonight?

Anyone seen Paul yet? I've got tickets to a screening with some cast today but not sure I want to go, especially if it's gooseberry fool.

Maybe consider Black Books a wee bit. Paul Verhoeven on peak form, and a look and style very like Inglorious Basterds at points.

I'm going to stick with THL tonight, because I want to split up the two dramas with one of the more action-orientated (as far as I know) films. I'll definitely watch Black Book tomorrow night.

Aye, that's quite a good idea.
