You thought the mini-movie was dark? The BSG series make the mini-movie look like Teletubbies.

Oh, only the direction, acting, script, cinematography and soundtrack.

Excellent films, I'll admit to that. Robocop just has that added edge for me.

I do like Robocop, don't get me wrong, but I do think that it has some obvious flaws - there's a fair amount of poor acting, some of its special effects don't hold up very well today and it's a bit heavy-handed (though I suppose that's to be expected from Verhoeven).

The best film he's made in America, no doubt. I do quite enjoy Basic Instinct, too.

It's a shame that people largely forget about the truly amazing films he's made, instead I fear his legacy is going to be that of creator of schlocky fun.

Yeah, but what has all those things got to do with anything?

Fantastic movie.

Loved every minute of it, visually stunning & amazing voice acting from all involved.

The garden scene with other dad & the final 15mins were just AMAZE in 3D.

Brilliant film, I'll be marking it down as a 10/10.

The atmosphere and character were incredible; halfway through it I was thinking: "this is a class act" and it got better and better.

I'm going watching that for a third time tomorrow. In 3D though this time.
I actually think the film improves on the book a fair bit too, not to say the book is poor as a result. Just the pacing of the plot in the book wouldn't have worked in the film.

Nothing, evidently. It's certainly in my top five for this decade.

Sweeney Todd - 6/10

It would get either one or two rates higher if it wasn't too much of musical songs in the film, but everything else were very good though. I liked the style of the film and it was pretty erm... good like artistic.

Helena Bonham Carter - :shifty:

You're damn right about Lost In Translation, it's amazingly tedious. Haven't seen Vicki Cristina Barcelona and quite frankly don't want to. You can piss off with the other three though, they're superlative.

The Incredible Hulk (2008) - 7/10

The fight scenes were ace, everything else, not so much. Ed Norton is great.

Still waiting for the 3hr DC. :(

The fight was indeed ace, would love to see the unedited 30min fight.

Drag Me to Hell.

Truly terrible movie, in fact it's probably the worst movie I've have seen this year so far.

Tries far too hard to be too many genres, it's comedy then it's horror then it's suspense/thriller & fails at all of them.

Most of the comedy scenes were awful & felt completely out of place, the horror was very predictable & dumbed down & the suspense scenes were Christine is being harassed by the demon were just awful.

And PG rated Horror movies are an affront to the horror genre. :|

Ah, so it was shortened for the cinema release? It seemed pretty short really.

Was the cameo at the end in relation to the bitafterthecredits in Ironman? I've forgotten what the title of the group is.
