Had X-Men Origins: Wolvereeeene on in the background earlier, it seems that on repeat viewings the CGI for his claws gets worse and worse :fp:

This.

7/10 is far too high a score for Predator.

You know I'm right. And that Predator 2 is the far superior film.

Predator 2 is not better than Predator. I guess on the boobies-o-meter, yeah, but not as a whole movie.

If Predator had titties it would be the best movie in the world.

The Mechanic - 4/10

I originally gave it 5 but on reflection it was dumper than that, hence the re-mark.

Rambo First Blood - 8/10
Rambo II -7/10
Rambo III - 5/10

The last few nights i watched Rambo 1-3 for the 1st time ever! (tho i think i'd seen bits of Rambo 2 before as it seemed familiar) Very entertaining but they did get progressively worse. Thought Richard Crenna was very wooden as the Colonel. Loved Sly with the moustache in the flashbacks

Got Rambo IV to watch at the weekend.

Watched Tree of life. Really tried hard to love it - had some amazing sequences and some nice ideas and wonderful camerawork and performances but as a whole - i did find it pretentious and the pacing and the blending of the two stories jarred with me at times. A really interesting, thought provoking film but i couldn't fall in love with it.

Unlike anything i've ever seen, though.

7/10

It's absolutely impossible to watch it as anything other than a parody film.

I saw the bit where the kids get shot on the TV. The way the gun barrel poked through the window couldn't have been funnier. It seemed to me to just be poor direction, rather than my sick and twisted mind that made it so funny.

Very disappointing, not as good as Thor.

Out of interest, what are the two stories in The Tree of life, Denster? I only spotted one.
