Natural City 7/10

Nice idea, bit poorly executed. Story could have done with a bit more background to it really.

BRIDESMAIDS - 8/10.

Miles funnier than say, The Hangover Part 2, lots of genuine belly laughs to be had.

Plus the woman that plays Helen is FIT

Crazy, Stupid, Love - 6.5/10
Uneven and at times cliched, but decent performances, a twist I didn't see coming and real chemistry between Gosling and Stone made it an enjoyable watch.

The Thing

Didn't realise even the 1982 one is a remake. Turns out I've actually downloaded the original for my dad before :shifty: All those dogs

Surprisingly, I'd actually watch it again. I was expecting it to be one of those horror films that ended up weirding me out so much I'd never want to sit through it a second time. The CPR stomach mouth thing was amazing

8/10

Watched Up yesterday, too. It's still my favourite Pixar film

You may as well have called it a 'Good horror romp'.

It wasn't a romp, though.

The Blues Brothers 9.5/10

Amazing film with a sublime soundtrack.

The 82 movie wasn't a remake as such, was just more closer and faithful to the original John W. Campbell novel, Who Goes There.

Did you know, when Blair is smashing up the radio room he is actually the Thing then. Does so to get himself/itself isolated from the group so he/it can build the craft.

Easy A - ***

Nice film. Few good laughs, nice dialouge and Emma Stone. Good way to kill some time.

Somewhere-7/10- Better than I was led to believe. It's very similar to Lost In Translation, though not quite as good. Elle Fanning is great in it and Stephen Dorff does well too.

The Greatest Movie Ever Sold - Morgan Spurlock doc about product placement. Quite interesting but nothing really revelatory. Just makes me glad product placement isn't as prevalent over here (yet) as it is in the US.

Drive.

I can't think of a film I've seen this year that can even come close to this. Absolutely loved it.

Jackie Brown - 9/10

Absolutely love this film. The acting is superb, as is the soundtrack, and the 'realism' of it - not too polished, not all nicely tied up and neat at the end. Very believable.

Moon - 9/10
I've had this on DVD since release and have wanted to watch it, but always put it off as I didn't want to just chuck it on. Woke up at 6.30am and decided today was the day. Suffice to say I think it was worth the wait. Loved the atmosphere and really great to see Sam Rockwell in a great part.

Captain America - 6/10

Not that great, but still plenty watchable. Hugo Weaving was a plus.
