Curly Sue was gooseberry fool.

You should get back in the game Mitch Yost.

You've never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off? :|

He's never seen Home Alone?!

Home Alone was directed by Chris Columbus. Written by John hughes, mind.

You watching Dogma?

Anyways, for some reason I always liked Some Kind of Wonderful even though it isn't one of his best films. All in all though he made some great films during the eighties and its a pity he packed up (though his quality took a real dip after Home Alone).

A legend has died :(

Mr John Hughes was responsible for my two childhood favourites - Home Alone (1 & 2) and Planes, Trains & Automobiles.

Only heard about his death this morning :(

He made so many classic films which I love, he will be missed.

It's actually quite funny to think he only directed eight films. Wrote a shitload more though. Planes, Trains and Automobiles is my personal favourite of his, Steve Martin in the eighties and early nineties was the best comedy actor ever (yes he was) and John Candy was always terrific.

Was gonna post this exact picture myself. The guy made movies that defined their time & the reason I love so many is that they had gooseberry fool hot dialogue. The guy hadn't made a relevant movie in many years (and no ghost writing Maid in Manhatten didn't weaked my love for the guy).

I dig the gooseberry fool out of his movies and have an unhealthy love for John Bender in the Breakfast Club. My have a Hughes movie marathon tonight (B.Club, Ferris & Planes/Trains/Automobiles me thinks).

I downloaded "Danke Schoen" and discovered is was sung by a dude! I now have uncomfortable mixed feelings whenever I listen to it...

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is my favourite, Ed Rooney is probably one of the funniest characters in a movie ever.

He was an incredibly entertaining director and writer. Really saddened by this actually. Ferris Bueller was his best film.
