THE Sun’s Jade’s Legacy campaign has now collected more than 120,000 signatures.

The huge number of Sun readers who have already signed up to the campaign has led the Government to announce that it will now review the screening age for cervical cancer.

It is currently 25 in England — but 20 in Wales and Scotland.

Jade is determined that the campaign succeeds in a bid to prevent further tragic cases like hers.

Why's that facepalm-worthy?

In conjunction with what Cosmo-Kramer said, she apparently ignored a worrying smear test result, so it seems even though she had access to what she's campaigning more people have, she didn't pay attention to it any way.

Plenty of people ignore such things out of fear or whatever, especially the young so I don't think raising awareness that
these kinds of things can and do happen young is a bad thing.

But she ignored it because she had to go on CBB and she thought it would go away. She was only thinking about the monies.

Oh, no doubt that raising awareness is key, being in Wales, I know plenty of girls who got the letter saying they were due a check up but did all they could to put it off, but to say that having the scan would have helped prevent her case is patently not true, when she ignored the warnings.

If she hadn't have ignored the warnings, the cancer may have been caught at an earlier, more treatable stage. By "raising awareness", this will hopefully mean that others will not ignore the warnings.

Alright... spoiler it.
I don't think it'll be the big dramatic thing that could make a gif anyway.

When people have diseases that cause a slow death I don't know why they wait around to die. I'd go skydiving and not open my parachute. Super quick death and it'd be awesome beforehand.

I bloody hope fate doesn't put me to the test. :shifty:

I think it's all quite a sad story about a girl, with kids, dieing at a very young age.

I've never watched or read enough about her to hate her so much as to willingly want her to die.

I take it she tried to exterminate the Jews or something?

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I find some people's attitude here extraordinary.

Don't know if this has already been posted but I can't be bothered to read through the whole thread.
Plans for Shilpa Shetty to visit Jade Goody in hospital have been scrapped after the cancer-stricken star's condition deteriorated.

The pair were infamously embroiled in a bitter race row during Celebrity Big Brother 2007, but have since settled their differences.

Shetty was due in the UK this week but publicist Max Clifford said: "She's not well. Shilpa totally understands.

A racist to the end.

In my case I utterly hate the false sentiment that the media are trying to generate and the elevation of any absolute waste of space in this way.

I was sick of the silly charade anyway but a personal loss has soured me even more to this, when we all have real painful loss to cope with it's a joke to try to manufacture feelings for someone who matters to nobody but her direct family.

No question that on a personal level cancer and death are very sad ( i don't need to be told that, i've felt it all to directly) but that is where it should stay.. personal. The media circus that elevates this nothing above millions of lovely people who die of this illness personally sickens me. Personally i wouldn't wish death on anyone and said so but i do wish she'd die with some dignity.

I'm getting even older mate, it's not about age.

It'll fade to a silent clock, which conveniently will be right at the end of that hour.

Reckon the Queen will gauge public opinion and bow to her coffin to gain public support?
