First band I ever saw live so I hold them pretty dear to my heart.

Saw them at the Birmingham NEC on the Dance of Death tour. All the live theatrics were amazing to watch. The 12ft Eddie was particularly cool.

Anyway, Iron Maiden yeah 8-)

I don't get the fuss about The Trooper. Sure it's very catchy and all and has a nice hook but there's at least two tracks off Piece of Mind which I prefer.

Bruce Dickinson is one of the few musicians I would genuinely love to have a pint with. Seems like a great guy.

Everyone knows Rime of the Ancient Mariner is the best maiden song.

I could never pick just one song but Mariner would definitely be in my top ten.

I would assume Powerslave is your favourite of their albums then, given that you've listed half of it there? ;)

I find it really difficult to rank their albums.

Probably is, I could never say for sure but there's just something about it.

Found this while browsing Gaf's thread about Muse's latest Live pisstake, and it seems Maiden did something similar years ago.

Great thread.

While we're on top tens:

2 Minutes to Midnight
The Evil That Men Do
Fear of the Dark
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Powerslave
Revelations
Wasted Years
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
The Prisoner
Moonchild

Finally, here's Adrian Smith with a large chub.
