Does anyone here have issues with iOS 7 not putting the blue dot for automatically updated apps? Both my ipad mini, iPhone and my girlfriends iphone and ipad don't have the blue dots. But the apps are being updated automatically. Kind of annoying, I like to know when an app had been updated.

If you swipe down on the top of the screen, I think it tells you there if any apps have been updated.

Edit:

Just remembered what I came in here for. :fp:

The 12 days of Gifts app is out now and they are giving a gift away today. Some single by Lorde - I have no idea who that is but if any wants it for free they can!

Had battery drain issues today, very frustrating. Hoping it will go away on it's own but if it doesn't what should I do?

I've had this issue for a while and it seems they have changed this situation. I think you'll have to check updates in App Store regularly, not getting an automatic notification by the red dot on the App Store.

Yeah, it's a little annoying! :x

PS. I did search after I posted above and here's what I found. I may try this out to see if it works.

Suggestions? :(

Try booting into the recovery partition and repairing permissions on your Macintosh HD.

No hablo espanol.

Seriously though, thanks for the help but I have no idea what that means.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to get back to you sooner, but did you manage to figure it out?

And for everyone else...OS X.9.1 is out for the Mac Pro. :datass:
And there is updated versions of Final Cut Pro X and Motion.

Just downloaded Flightradar24 for my ipad. Holy strawberry float! It's stunning. I'm not a plane nerd but there are thousands of planes over the UK at the moment. It shows in real time where each plane is, where its going, altitude, speed, all the plane data.

 I like it.

It also has a 3D mode where you can pretend you are in the cockpit of the plane

That's pretty cool but the best bit is Augmented Reality where I hold the iPad up to the sky and it shows me where the planes are. Shame I live miles off any flight path. :|

I did some work at Heathrow Airport on the airside recently, which reminded me quite how much I love airports and planes. So I downloaded the app and it really is great.

What's this cockpit thing? Is that exclusive to the iPad version?

Thanks for that, but I was actually referring to the blue update dots that should show in front of the apps name. They just don't appear on my devices.

Ah, of course.

They do appear on mine after I updated the apps, but I switched off the automatic update option though.

I'm sure there are some explanations on the Apple forums somewhere.

I'm not actually sure what I'd jailbreak for now. I'll probably do it on my iPad for a SNES emulator again but I'm not arsed about my iPhone.

Are you saying you have no interest in slowing your phone down and making future updates and pain in the neck?

Don't people jailbreak because they don't want to pay for apps?

I don't actually game on my phone or use many apps - the reason I jailbreak is for the wee tweaks such as the kill all apps at the same time thing, and little slidey keyboard functions which improves using the phone in general. Apple :fp:

When they reveal iFlow or some such nonsense it will truly revolutionise text input and I might actually be able to own an iPhone again.
