So this is why there's an influx of Paper Mario avatars. I've never played the game but that Penguin avatar Cuttooth has is strawberry floating awesome.

I've had this for ages and never got round to playing past the first chapter after we moved and it got packed away. This seems like the perfect excuse to start playing it again so count me in!

No because:

1. In general I really don't like RPGs (with the exception of Pokémon)
2. I haven't played the first Paper Mario
3. I don't have the game.
4. I have far too much Uni work that I should be doing and already have enough distractions as it is.

1. It's not a particularly complicated RPG and isn't bogged down by the stats you get in a lot of other JPRGs.
2. Neither had I, you don't need to as there's little to no connection to it as far as I know.
3. Buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it buy it.
4. Well that's fair enough then.

1. Pfft, I don't think I've even played any other RPGs apart from this and Pokemon.
2. This one is better. And there's only one or two subtle references to that one anyway.
3. I'll let you withdraw some monies from the boat fund. It's not like that's going anywhere, plus one of the chapters involves a boat, so you can probably pick up some important stuff.
4. Hurry up and finish it.

To Nood and Cuttooth: You both make a decent argument. Once I'm finished with Uni (seems like I still have so much left to do though) I may look into it. Would give me an excuse to dig out the Gamecube again.

I gave up on this deep in the final dungeon years ago. I'd either just killed a dragon or was stuck trying to kill it.

I think I must have not learned enough special moves or something because the final boss was just impossible. :(

In my last play through, I just kept boosting my HP whenever I levelled up towards the end. As for the final battle itself, it was a case of power bouncing, using Bobbery's epic bomb attack, and supernova, the most powerful special move. Vivian's veil move was also pretty useful for whenever the shadow queen charged up.

Erase the surrounding white and make the background transparent. And make it a PNG.

Like so.

Cuttooth, your avatar is ace!

All this talk of the final boss, such a tough one! Who's attempted the pit of 100 trials yet? I got right to the end and died

In my last attempt I only got about half way through. I really should've stocked up on better items, although I wasn't helped by getting three poision 'shrooms in a row. :shifty:

In. I got to a certain point in a hot-air balloon at the start of a chapter, then my copy died. So I bought another copy off of Aaron but haven't continued since.

I'll probably join when you catch me up.
