Good job I did as it turned out the Bank had blocked my card - they don't tell you they've done this, so my pre ordered Ridge Racer wouldn't have got paid for - reason being I'd used Xbox live, PSN and Pizza hut, so how any gamer gets by without getting blocked is a miracle!

My copy turned up yesterday and I played it for an hour or so. It feels very meaty with lots and lots of stuff going. It initially left me feeling a bit confused but I reckon spending a bit more time playing the missions should bring it all together (having a proper read of the instructions probably wouldn’t hurt, either).

I didn't do too much tinkering with my Mech (name pending) but I did buy it an RBFG (Really Big strawberry floatin' Gun) for Maximum Damage. Sweeeet.

Looking forward to spending some more time on it over the weekend.

That's more like it. Got a bit more of a play and did the first story mission. I also spent some time figuring out the weight/energy/bay distribution.

Played a first quick game of this Saturday night and joined the group. I'll try a few more missions tonight. For a fairly complex game I love that the instructions are 3 pages and only cover making your Mech walk.
