Great tasks, Taskmaster. I don't think I can do many of 'em but I'll sort out some choons for ya pretty soon.

Erm, no thanks.
Sure, you say that now. Y'know what, fine. I could have made you, but you're like all the rest of them, think you know better. I WILL KILL AGAIN.
Altruistic - made my dad his tea and did the washing up because he was in a hurry
Anger - Black Label. Lamb of god Love - Always. Bon Jovi Happiness - Hot n' Cold. Katy Perry Sorrow - In this River. Black Label Society Courage - Redneck. Lamb of God Fear - Don't you forget about me. Simple Minds
Ive written the time capsule letter, just got to get some stuff together.
It's probaby a Eels-esque complete and utter misinterpretation of the song, but just the softness of the cover makes me go all gooey inside.
Happiness:
Oh come on, irresistibly catchy and, y'know what? I DO GOT LOVE. Sorrow:
BNL are famous for songs that can be taken many ways, but I love this as arguably one of my favourites. Showing the innate contradiction in trying to keep someone happy when it's making you miserable, and being brutally honest about why things just don't work.
Courage:
The intro sets the tone, but if the way the R'n'B sounding bit at the start swells up into the proper dance bit, with the voiceover, doesn't make you feel like PUNCHING A strawberry floating SHARK then nothing will.
Fear
There's just something nightmarish about it. It gives me the chills just thinking about it.
I swear, this challenge is a thread in of itself. I had so much fun deliberating over the choices for this, I think 'Make a playlist for' could be an epic thread.
On Friday my sister should be coming to stay, I'm going to pick her and my niece up so she doesn't have to get the DLR and a bus to my house. Would this count as my altruistic act?
Bear in mind I'd be going to East London during rush hour, also getting up earlier than I normally do.
I realised that I can theoretically do five tasks in one day, so today should be interesting.
I'm making some headway into the Super-Continental Food Challenge too, ******* and peas last night, that's Europe sorted. Dinner tonight shall cover North America, I may be having a Chilli representing South America tomorrow. Asia will be a piece of piss, only Africa and Australasia pose a problem.
So I have another question: Are lunches respective of a continent a Task GET!? If not, then I'll be having to continue this until Sunday to get every continent in. If so, I'll be done by Friday.
Im calling foul, Pizza is North American Cutty, as is Chilli Banjo
It could be worse I had Piri Piri Chicken last night which I assumed to be Brazilian it being Peles favourite dish and all, but turns out its actually an African dish
I completed this task on Monday. As I walked through Waterloo station, past a businessman in his suit and tie, I noticed he’d (unwittingly, I think) dropped a piece of paper. I called this to his attention and as I continued past him, he bent to pick up the paper, so either he hadn’t meant to throw it away, or I had shamed him into reversing his decision to litter. Either way, a small act of altruism.
Task 2
Anger Idiot Wind – Bob Dylan Taken from Blood on the Tracks, which could be the greatest break-up album of all time, this is Bob getting righteously pissed off.
Love Playground Love – Air Just an endlessly listenable tune with a hint of darkness (though maybe I’m reading that into it cos I know it’s taken from a film called The Virgin Suicides. Never seen the movie). I'm going to listen to it right now.
Happiness Mersey Paradise – The Stone Roses. Not about happiness, rather about imagining you’re a fish swimming through the Mersey river. There's also some lyric about drowning your girlfriend, but the tune is so jauntily upbeat that it doesn't matter. Thrown away on a b-side when it was originally released, this is one of the best things the Roses ever did.
Sorrow Sad Foot Sign – Eels. Apparently inspired by a sign for a foot massage therapist, this is strange, sad, obscure and brilliant. Not on youtube, sadly.
Courage Shadow Boxing – GZA featuring Method Man. I went for this classic hip hop cos it makes the listener feel, uh, hype. Both Meth and the Genius sound like guys who don’t give a cotton-pickin’ strawberry float.
Fear How’s It Going To End – Tom Waits. Strictly speaking, the atmosphere is one of creeping unease rather than fear.
