Modern pizza originated in Italy as the Neapolitan pie with tomato. In 1889 cheese was added.

Pff, I think it counts as European just fine. 8-)

Lies, damn lies.

Depends on the kind of pizza:

Thin crust with sophisticated toppings like goat's cheese, Parma ham, mushrooms etc. is Italian.

Deep crust with gooseberry fool loads of mozzarella and a red sauce that might possibly have seen a tomato once upon a time, covered in layers and layers of various meat is American.

QED.

Music for the soul:

Anger - Rip Her To Shreds by Blondie
Love - Everybody Needs Somebody by The Blues Brothers
Happiness - Rockin' All Over The World by Status Quo
Sorrow - Somebody to Love by Queen
Courage - Holding out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler (because of that scene in Shrek 2  )
Fear - I'm not sure any songs make me feel fear... I'll go for Thriller by Michael Jackson, 'cos the video's a bit creepy, innit.

Bear in mind I'd be going to East London during rush hour, also getting up earlier than I normally do.

Task GET!

Banjo wrote:So I have another question: Are lunches respective of a continent a Task GET!? If not, then I'll be having to continue this until Sunday to get every continent in. If so, I'll be done by Friday.

Hmm, not sure I understand the question here. Any meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner can count in this task, and so you can cover multiple continents on one day if you so choose.

Welcome aboard, smurphy and killaroo!

You've answered it. I was originally under the impression that only a main meal i.e. Dinner would constitute as completing the task, that smaller meals wouldn't be allowed. Thank you for clarifying, now let's get eating.

Unless I've missed an earlier post in the thread, you need to have two more meals to pass the task.

Oh, is it three? Sorry, sir, I misread!

I had spaghetti last night, does that count?

My tower was taller. [/smug]

I had a banana and chocolate buttons last night, does that count for anything?

Oh and chips just now.

Pasta counts for Europe. What kind of pancakes were the pancakes you had?

Yes, spaghetti counts.

Unless it was this spaghetti:

I'm disappointed that everyone is simply making a simple tower with things. I'm making a mini house out of DVD and Game cases, with the roof hopefully being supplied by a house of cards. Ambitious undertaking, but I'll do it.

A reminder of the task for everyone:

1. Super-Continental Food Challenge

Eat a traditional meal from any 3 of the following six continents - Europe, Australasia, Africa, North America, South America and Asia.

Bonus: For this task, I will award an extra point on top of the normal 3 for every extra continent you have a meal from, making a maximum of 6 points available for this task.

I will only require visual evidence of this task if you go for any bonus points.

So, if I'm going for all 6, will I have to supply pictures of all six? Or just the additional 3?

I imagine six as only posting three could lead to some cheating instances.

The sort of pancakes you'd have on Pancake day with some golden syrup.
