First up, I'd like to thank Mockmaster for doing an absolutely brilliant job as Big Brother. It was a very well run competition, and he should be super proud of his achievement. Don't forget it was his first time running the competition too, hopefully he'll iron out some of the creases for next time. He's also probably learned what works (the painting task, the quiz) and what doesn't (Battleships, god that must have been tedious for people to read). I think it was great fun overall though, it's hard work running the competition and he was great throughout. Big Mocker on the bants was a particular highlight for me.
After reaching the final five, I'd be lying if I wasn't a touch disappointed to finish fourth overall. I feel I gave a lot during the two weeks, and I'm gutted if that didn't make interesting viewing. Certainly, I contributed a lot more than, say, Corazon (I'm sure he'd agree, too), but I guess that comes with going in as the unfamiliar face. Thanks a lot to the six people that did vote for me though.
Coming out and catching up on the discussion topic, it's disappointing to read all the 'boring' comments from people like Rog. All of us in the house have given up a lot of time and effort to do this, and to be labelled as boring is pretty hard to swallow. I do agree with Ryall's comments about it being a more interesting thing to participate in than to watch, but we all tried our hardest to be entertaining. Also, the last thing I remember before the forum went dark was people complaining about the StayDead thing being boring! Turns out, that was what people wanted more of!
Finally I'd like to say a massive thanks to everyone in the house for making it an amazing thing to be a part of. I genuinely loved spending time with every one of you (even Cuttooth). I've never been one for being massively involved with this part of the forum, but I might well just do that now. Finally, I felt like one of the gang, the cliqueyness has always been a bit intimidating and kind of put me off posting. It was weird when DBlock came in and I remembered just how 'on the outside' I'd been, I just didn't really get him at all.
Hope this doesn't come across as sore loser-ish, that's not how it was intended. Congrats to Falsey for winning, a deserved winner indeed. Frequently hilarious, massively entertaining and a really nice guy to chat too. I hope he enjoys
sharing his prize with the other finalists spending his winnings.
