GG jamie mate. I tried hard to get you on a leash so to speak but I couldn't hit at the start of the tourney. Was a relief to flop the nut flush at one point.
Video on it's way!

Luw virtually suggested the 8-Game event, I'm worried hes going to grab another bracelet. That said, when it rolls around to 'Boggle' - hes done for.

Luwinski wrote:Q. Congratulations on your first win Luw, you must be super pleased to take down your first bracelet?
I'm super stoked. Y'know I've been playing poker for about 3 years now and this tops it all. I've been looking at ways to spend my winnings and have been checking out bus fare to work tomorrow. It's a big investment but I think I've got to go for it. Can't wait to get my first bracelet through the post too.
Q. So tell us how you felt your route to the final and game went for the Heads Up Tournament?
I had pretty much no fears. I knew I was the best player out there. 2nd were rex/nova equally. I've been training pretty hard at the $11.50 /$23 shootout HUP tournamants. And as you may notice this training has paid off. I won.
Q. Who was your toughest HU opponent?
I don't remember who I played? I think it was aaron sykes jamie. I believe jamie was the hardest open because i didn't make a hand against him until i flopped the flush with QT. Then I pretty much dominated him.
Q. It was you who largely suggested the Eight Game, which is the GR Series most recent addition and next on the calendar , why do you love it so much?
I love the cash version. Tournaments are a bit of a different ball game with the increasing blinds. I love the mixing it up. It gives a refreshing edge to card games when you 20 table sngs like i do -_-. A recent poker article by Dan Kelly, a good friend of mine, describes how playing different games for a while will refresh you in poker!
Q. Many have you down as having an edge in such a large array of poker, who do you think are your main rivals in making it a second bracelet?
The only person I know who has documented playing some mixed games is enco and I think he is my main rival. I do not fear him. I have made $100s in the .2/.4 and .5/1 games I should be able to adjust well to the tournament structure. I'm just going to play my standard holdem games and then charge everybody the maximum to play there 8-game. As the winner of the bracelet goes it could go to anybody it is important to realise games such as this have a HIGHER standard deviation of luck than the no limit hold em and pot limit omaha games. I'm expecting a lot of fishing and a lot of 7th street binks. But that's okay I was built for these games!
Q. Finally, if you had to choose, would you rather be player of the year, or the Main Event Champion?
POTY of course. ME champion could go to anybody it's pot luck. POTY shows extreme skills on all fronts and is as prestigious as it gets in the poker world!
