Welcome one and all to the GR Series of Poker 2010!

The GRSOP is an annual event where the poker players of GRcade come together once a year to play a series of different events against each other. Last time around in the first series, PsychicSykes proved to be the jack of all trades and took down the player of the year honours after winning the main event, just pipping Rex McGee to the title of best overall player by a single point. Will he be able to go back to back?

The events for this year are as follows:

Event #1: $3 No Limit Hold'em Heads Up Shootout - Sunday 24th October 2010 - Tournament ID 322685840 - LUWINSKI
Event #2: $3 8-Game - Thursday 28th October 2010 - Tournament ID 322686686 - DRUMSTICK
Event #3: $3 Seven Card Stud - Sunday 31st October 2010 - Tournament ID 322687396 - ROCKETMAN
Event #4: $3 Pot Limit Omaha - Thursday 4th November 2010 - Tournament ID 322688342 - ROCKETMAN
Event #5: $10 No Limit Hold'em Main Event - Sunday 7th November 2010 - Tournament ID 322689004 - B_S_A
GR Series of Poker 2010 Player of the Year - DRUMSTICK

All events will start at 19:30.

As I'm sure you'll notice, the buy in for each tournament except for the main event is rather low at $3, so hopefully a few of you less regular players will decide to join in on the action. For those of you who are interested but aren't sure how to register, you will need to download and sign up to PokerStars as that's where the events are being held. As these games are intended to be private, and for GRcade members only, they are password protected. Please contact myself or one of the other regulars for the password and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

I think it's just going to be stud that I'll miss, while im away in Nottingham for my birthday.

I have the pub poker final on the 24th October so there is a chance I won't be back in time for the HU shootout but most likely I will be back. I'm less than useless at Stud, 8-game, and omaha but as they're only $3 I'll probably have a punt if I'm around. Shouldn't have any problems making the main event.

The champ is here. Another Main Event win, Player of the year award and I suppose I'll go ahead and win another one of the events mibs. Dunno if I'll bother with the 8-gayme because I'm not a fan.

I'm determined to win one of the bracelets, and I want it so badly to be the HU one, suppose it depends on the draw.

Are we using same scoring as last time for POTY?

Oooh, I want to play but I'm gooseberry fool at poker. I also can't play the Halloween one, as I'm going to see Sum 41. Is that a problem?

Play as many or as few events as you like. There are 'bracelets' - titles for the winners of each individual tournament which you hold for a year, and an overall 'Player Of The Year' which is currently held by Psychicsykes. The more players we have, the more epic it will be!
