POTY Update:

Well, that went fairly well for me. I think some (most) players needed to learn where the fold button was, especially pre, so I just played fairly nitty and waited for the good spots. The only hand that I wasn't overly happy with the way I played was the hand that I knocked Sykes out on.

HU went on far too long, I think I was maybe a bit too tight. Most important hand for me HU was straight vs. trips pretty much AI on 5th when i was behind in chips 2:1. Just annoyed that I forgot about the 8 game now otherwise I'd clearly be winning overall.

I'm a stud.

No-one has cashed twice!

And I havent cashed at all! :lol:

Still hanging around the POTY rankings nicely even though I haven't won an event yet, but I may be able to retain my Omaha bracelet this week

Apparently I made a few dodgy plays and need to work on my starter hand selection. I am aware that a rookie mistake in Stud is playing too many hands pre-flop. Generally I played connector cards and pairs. Occasionally I called too many streets, and one hand against Luw which I misclicked call on 4th street instead of fold; though my hand subsequently improved and I felt justified in carrying on with it. I felt I got a little unlucky by running into 5th street flushes on three different occasions all when I had strong hands, and that huge pot which Nova scooped with his 7th street boat against my nut flush, whatever Sykes had (I presume a straight) and Whiskey.

It's all just a bit of fun really.

Indeed. And yes, that was particularly unlucky. There I caught myself in the trap of playing my own cards, which I fixed-ish when I got HU (before I melted down about my essay). But I had 3 pair on 6th street and after I'd gotten that far and looking at the cards of the others, I thought a boat would win, and it was 150 into about 2.5k :lol:

Should've folded earlier though, obv.

Sykes has assured me that he is taking this event down tonight to become the first player to win two bracelets. He's also advised me that he will be the first person to three bracelets as well when he wins the ME.

Well can you let sykes know that there is more chance of Darvin Moon final tabling the ME again than him even cashing the next to events. I WILL CRUSH.
