Might write a bit more once I am feeling more alive. I need another shower now...
I went.
My first Glastonbury.
A-fucking-mazing. Too many highlights to really mention, but... I'll try. the reformed Blur rocked it (so much better than the Blur I saw at Reading '03), Neil Young was out of this world, Springsteen was a real show stealer (both got the crowd so into the music that it was impossible not be entranced), Spinal Tap had midgets, Easy Star All-Stars played Dub Side of the Moon, OK Computer and Sgt Pepper's in three days (I only caught the last one), country is back - hey there Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, The Specials were brilliant, Kasabian did a fantastic set, Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip set the Queen's Head a bouncing, Dizee Rascal managed to be enjoyable. To add to this I was hanging out with a brilliant set of people and I got to do a whole range of things I had never done at a Festival before. Saw Springsteen appear with Gaslight Anthem and the singer return the favour - it was brilliant, Brian Fallon clearly couldn't believe his luck - he looked absolutely overjoyed, it was really great to see. All things considered, its a lot, but it is money very well spent!
