More to Glastonbury than the line-up. Went last year and was surprised by how much there was to see and do beside the headline music.

Of course, my deposit for 2010 is right down. 8-)

The only way I'd be going would be if Dire Straits were to reform and headline!

But if the line-up ends up being gash, you can sell on for MAXIMUM PROFITS.

Nearly did that with my Reading ticket last year - bought in the pre-sale post the 2008 festival, and on the first proper sale date (when the main stage headliners were announced) was soooooo tempted to strawberry float it off due to the utter shiteness of all three. In the end I didn't though, and the line up overall ended up being class.

As for Glasto; it's just not for me.

You can't sell on Glastonbury tickets because they have your face printed on them.

This. I'd love to go to Glastonbury or Reading but paying all that money for a ticket + all the other expenses & then the line-ups shite? No ******* thanks.

Once again...

Tafdolphin wrote:Luckily this isn't what happens anymore. You can pay a deposit (£50 on each ticket) and not pay the rest until Feb next year. If you pull out before Feb you get your money back, minus £10 admin fee.

Although I can't see a bunch of shite headliners changing my mind, if I wanted I could back out and be only £10 worse off. Sounds good to me!

I would have signed up for Glastonbury but it is a lot of money to risk if the line up ends up being a bit gooseberry fool.

Was amazing in the 80s. But I think the years of drugs and overeating have now taken their toll and it will be difficult to get back the brilliance of old. Would be good as a curiosity assuming Argentina do not offer a new contract after the World Cup qualifying.

Not got tickets, but I still may be able to go, depending on what happens with a friend.

So U2 are headlining the Friday :|

Saturdays, are usually a more current headliner, Sundays are normally the classics. My big hopes are the Rolling Stones for the Sunday.

I would actually hate that. 3 bands I could not give a rats arse about headlining :|

Edit also my Theory on types of bands, is clearly wrong remembering this year

But I could give a rats arse about 2 of them so my conclusion is, go strawberry float yourself.

I'd love to see Radiohead, but Muse? Nah. I'm a bit disappointed that U2 are headlining Friday as I can't stand them, but the fact that they're headlining the first night makes me excited to see who they've got for Sat and Sun.
