I'm about midway through the 'Blood Will Run' TPB.

From the comics suggested from the past few pages Trinity, Green Lantern, Flash and Justice League all sound good.

Green Lantern Rebirth TPB: it seems Amazon only have the hardcover for this. Also, is it just a single volume?
Green Lantern (ongoing): should I just go for the more recent stuff?

Johns run on Flash: by Johns you mean Geoff Johns? There seem to be a few so which one is the starting point?
Giffen/De Matteis on Justice League: I've found more recent Justice League International stuff by them, in hardcover also.

Thanks for the suggestions so far! :D

GL:R is a 5 issue mini-series. Well worth picking up.

Onoging - I'd wait until you get GL:R (it leads into the ongoing) then get the back issues/tpbs of the run. It all leads up the the Sinistro Corps War - which is amazing

It's the most recent run, up to about issue 30 now.

Blitz is the first trade of his run IIRC. As far as I know Rebirth is only available in hardcover.

All the GL stuff is available in hardcover.

I have it all in Hardcover other then Rebirth & No Fear.

Reading Order of GL:

Rebirth
No Fear
Revenge of the Green Lantern
Hal Jordan Wanted
Sinestro Corp War 1
Sinestro Corp War 2
Secret Origin (released in November)

Green Lantern Corps also goes alongside the main title as well (and is also pretty awesome).

Johns run on Flash:

Wonderland,
Blood Will Run,
Rogues,
Crossfire,
Blitz,
Ignition,
Secret of Barry Allen,
Rogue War

I got the singles of these CHEAP on eBay and they seem to appear in complete runs quite often (at least the first 30 or so).

Bloody hell, this thread seems to be growing faster here than it ever did on GR.

Hexx, I have read Astonishing 1 and 2, and I loved them both. I didn't enjoy 3 quite as much, but it was still good. I would have 4 already, but the one in Waterstones had a nasty bent cover. I picked up the first Walking Dead trade instead, which I'll be reading after Punisher MAX 1.

No! Get 4. 3 is by far the weakest (it's the one with Frost/Hellfire/Nova right?)

But 4...oh god...4...

I'm getting goose bumps.

Oh if you're digging (no pun intended) Losers Diggles run on Hellblazer is really good too. Only one trade out so far (Next one is out next month).

Thanks for all of that, Pedro. I'll note it all down and hopefully I can buy Rebirth soon enough.

I really would suggest getting the Green Lantern Corps as well (if you like the characters in rebirth).

Also - there's a "Tales of the Sinestro Corps War" TPB.

Doomy! Tell Mogster how awesome Astonishing X-men was.

Rebirth is okay, but does suffer from being quite heavy in continuity (not all that hard to get through) No Fear, when Hal is back as GL is where it starts getting really good. Be warned though, I ended up buying all the GL & GLC trades in about 10 days of each other. Might not be good for your bank balance.

GL:R is continuity heavy, but it explains it quite well.

I think it's pretty good for newbies.

I hadn't either. I enjoyed the trade immensely. It also got me interested in the character enough that I'm going to go back and buy the older trades. You get a good sense of the character and anything that references the past is explained in its context.

Q. This any good? I've heard very mixed things & the fact that its not written by Johns has meant I've skipped it upto this point.

Oh agreed, just saying that once you've read it No Fear is where the story starts proper (that & No Fear can be picked up for like £5).

It's the 4 mini's right

Looking at it 1 is "good". 2 are "ok". 1 is "bad".
