This whole time I thought you were Mrs. Pax and a woman..

:)

I've had that a couple of times. While I might moan like a woman, based on the history of the number of women who have ever frequented this place, what are the real chances of that!?!

You should have kept the uncertainty going. Plenty of people on here will now be heartbroken realising you aren't a woman and they are back to the drawing board in their search for one.

Nobody did, because admonition would have been the wrong word in the context.

Opinions of the Mazda 3...

i think it looks kinda nice.

Any Mazda owners here?

Can I get opinions on this please?

Seen this today, and it's quite tidy and there's room in the back for my boys buggy.
But seems like more money than I'd want to spend on a ten year old car.

Though, the mileage is ok for it's age I guess.
Can previous 1 series owners weigh in please?

If you arent arsed about spec etc;

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... se/3825407 - £1k less for what appears to be the same car (edit, lower spec actually)

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... dr/3836270 - £500 less for 2 years newer and way nicer

Depending what driving you are doing, the diesels pull harder than the petrols until you get to the faster ones. SE is basically base spec as well from what I remember. You wont get diesel economy benefits if its all local pottering about though.

As a car, they are pretty ace. BMW tax on parts and servicing for some bits. If you want to use the run flats they cost a strawberry floating fortune.

You want a Feb/March 2007 onwards if you can, because the engines are more powerful, more economic, better, and cheaper tax.

Edit - same money, diesel, same spec, newer - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... ax/3279278

£1k more, sport spec, bigger engine, newer - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... to/3803186

All of these cars have a much higher mileage though. Not saying this is necessarily a bad thing engine wise, but the whole car will have more wear and tear.

Cheers Falsey, very helpful :)
Once I clocked it, I told the missus I'd have to check with the GRC boys to make sure I wasn't going to buy a "Povvo spec" 1 Series :)

It doesnt seem bad, heated leather and sunroof are fairly uncommon on them.
