I do really like the Polestars but I think the move from the waffle grille to flat bodycolour is a step back

I like it. EVs don't need grilles, so ditch 'em. I especially dislike the plastic facade grilles on some BMWs.

The paint finish on the bumper is a bit rough. Might want to get them to take a look at that.

Yeah, I get it, but I actually think they make the cars look *more* plastic. If you don’t need a grille you also don’t need a flat nose on the thing. Tesla had the right idea with the nose but it only ever looked good on the Model S because it was a lower car. Their others look shite because the body is too tall for it. Kia found a way to make it work for the EV6.

The absolute best to do it is the Taycan but Porsche’s design historically being “sexy rear-engine cars” makes that a given. They were already sitting on the ideal shape for a car with nothing in the front.

Ah that's true. It's almost certainly because it's an ICE car platform with EV stuff shoehorned on. The Polestar 4 has a much less flat front design and looks better as a result.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

The Renault 5 E-Tech looks amazing for an electric car, whether it comes to market looking like the prototype is yet to be seen though. Always loved the look of the Honda E as well.

Picked up yesterday. Over the moon with it so far. Had a 4 hour drive back from Mansfield and it was so relaxing. The whole Auto steer, brake and acceleration is actual black magic. All I needed to do was keep a finger on the wheel and it did the rest for the entirety of the M5.

HUD is a game changer. Never had one before but to have Sat nav/media/speed/assist etc all displayed in a little 3d image on your windscreen is fantastic. Always hated having to take my eyes of the roads when using Google maps.

After having my last car for 10 years I am adamant about keeping this one in tiptop condition. The last few years with my 6 series were painful (no heating, no radio, leaky damp boot, stroppy gearbox and engine management light).

I filled up with Premium on the way back, but may switch to normal as it accepts that as well, not sure if the benefits out weigh the additional cost.

I don’t know much about them, but my CEO who is on a 7 figure salary has one as a company car so they must be doing something very right!

Thats very attractive. I'm in the process at the moment of changing to an EV. It's either and Ipace or Model 3 but this is making me think again.
