You name me a band(Rise Against notwithstanding) that aren't, and Blink certainly didn't start any craze towards teenage shitty pop music, in fact they inspired some of the better bands in their genre.

US Pop Punk. As opposed to pop, which is what Busted are.

What the Christ are you kerniffling about? It's called pop punk because it's punk music with a poppy edge, it's not manufactured by men in suits(or wasn't originally anyway, nowadays it's a bit OTT).
