'Blink182' was a great album, IMO, their best. 'TOYPAJ' was the second best.

I thought they were 'alright' first time round, but I sort of just grew out of it.

Ill be interested to hear what direction they go in, see if they go back to their roots. They seemed a bit full of themselves towards the end.

Personally, I don't consider Enema or anything they released after it their "earlier days". Maybe that was the first you'd heard from them though.

You should get back in the game Mitch Yost.

Dude Ranch will always be my favourite Blink album i have so many good memories associated with that record and Apple Shampoo is my favourite Blink song of all time. They had a lot of comedy elements to them Blink and it is a shame that they always get tarred with the "joke band" brush. While, their live shows, photo shoots and general behaviour was very childish the majority of their songs, probably 90% were pretty serious. Cheshire Cat is very jovial, but Buddha isn't really and neither is Enema or TOYPAJ, except for probably The Party Song, Happy Holidays, strawberry float a Dog and Mother's Day.

Their self titled album was good, but it was very much the sound of a band trying a little bit too hard to be taken seriously. The songs all appeared to use the same chords and effects and they all appeared to be in the same key. I know the production of that album was very fraught and it took them ages to do which, contributed quite badly to the overall sound. I still liked it and thought Stockholm Syndrome was up there with their best ever work, but it was just a bit too serious and a little bit wanky.

Delighted to hear they are back though! It will be very intersting to see where they go from here and how the dynamics of the band change after the falling out, if at all.

Dude Ranch is probably their best album, I agree. Enema is insanely catchy, as is ToYPaJ. Cheshire Cat has a couple of gems on it but also is the most :fp:-worthy for toilet humour. The self-titled one has some really interestingly good tracks, but a bit of dross too. The collaberation with Robert Smith was dire.

I was about to post something "hilarious" about how this means that Alien Ant Farm might get back together next. Then I looked on Wikipedia and found out that they are, in fact, still together.

You heartless bastard, the singer broke his neck in a tour bus crash!

Incidentally, when I said earlier days, I meant pre-self titled. The fact is, it wasn't their first set of serious songs, but it was their worst. It still doesn't make it a bad album.

Didn't think much of their second album with San Sebastian on it. The first one was awesome. Wish, Courageous, Movies...

I keep reading "Reunite" as "Remute".

Where is he, anyway?
