what part you going to? You should take a trip to Ukraine, see it for yourself!
Tho if Russian airports are like Kiev's, the less time spent in them, the better
The airport I've been through twice is "Domodedovo". it's relatively new. And the russians have done what they do best in making it look pretty good from the outside
I've crossed that road about 6 times... and it is NEVER that empty. It's always full of angry, not afraid to run you over, russian madmen in Ladas.
Inside though, it is not built to last. They do a great job on the floors. The floor in international arrivals is PERMANENTLY being cleaned. There is a man paid to drive around in circles on one of those electric floor cleaner things. It is the only floor I've ever seen that I would consider eating off.
Structually though, it's not right. We had a few trained architects in our team. They had commented on Terminal 5 at heathrow and then commented on Domodedovo. Terminal 5 is gonna last a helluva lot longer structually.
There were still guys on the upper levels of Domodedovo going around with welding irons etc.
This time though, I'm going by Sheremetyevo which I haven't seen before.
Google comes up with this:
Looks pretty scummy.
I'm going to an area like I normally do, about 4 hours south of Moscow.
("lol" at the green banner advertising something called "Mister Twister"!!) That is in the main city... it's not too bad there.
Outer places aren't so great - where we stayed last time:
And this is the food we got - this was the best meal. wide range of choice.
