Burt (Where the hell is he?) will attest to the fact that I have tried over the past few years on numerous occasions to watch Blade Runner, but have had to give up on each occasion.

Which all realy makes no sense. I love Sci-fi, Harrison Ford, Daryll Hannah, Ruetgar...Rueater...that blonde guy...yet I find Blade runner just so god damn boring and slow.

I basically make it up to that bit where they visit the Eye scientist, and I am gone.

It's a shame, as I feel I should enjoy it, yet...just can't.

I enjoyed TDK, so will vote for that, but do feal it's overated.

While his death obviously added to the publicity, it was guranteed to be a success long before, being the sequel to Batman Begins and all that. No matter how many actors died, it's hardly going to "fool" people into liking the film, is it?

The Dark Knight is excellent, but Blade Runner is possibly my favourite film of all time. No matter how many times I see it, I never grow tired of it. Heck, it's so good I've technically bought it ten times.

maybe it's the (real or imagined) pressure of being expected to enjoy it that's stopping you enjoying it

next time try watching it stoned

 You may be on to something, I'll give it a go.

Everything's great when you're stoned. Except Jacobs ladder. Don't watch JL whilst stoned.

Just...don't.

TDK was big because it's Batman for god sake, the good comic book films are always big hits. Dead stars or not.

Ledger is great in it though, I didn't watch it until Christmas so I missed all the hype but he really does portray the Joker how I've always thought the joker should be.

Anyone who says TDK is a bad film is being different for the sake of it, it's a great film and a 7/10 at the least. Probably the best comic book film, I haven't seen Begins in ages though.

There's already been three or four films released in the past two years alone that I've seen which are clearly better than TDK.

Didn't even have to think twice.

This, aside from Heath's amazing performance, the rest of the film was painfully dross, had he not died whilst filming this, it would never be as big as this!

In the same genre? Are you quite mad?

EDIT - Tell you what though...

The Dark Knight >>>>>>>> There Will Be Blood.

By an absolute mile.

You said the best film of its era too, and this is its era.

You're just criticising it for the sake of it now. TDK is by no means dross.

This

is an argument for when you just can't bring yourself to believe that someone MIGHT NOT LIKE a film that you love.
