Anything by Godfrey Ho. A flatmate and I recently discovered this genius filmmaker, whose films never fail to entertain, though usually not in the way Ho probably intended...

Sometimes considered the Ed Wood of Hong Kong cinema, he is best known for his Ninja films, a series of 1980s martial arts films made with a cut-and-paste technique. Ho would film footage for one film, and then edit and splice the shots together in a different order, often adding in footage from other films, and then dubbing over the result to create an (almost) coherent finished product. This allowed him to create four or five films with the budget of one, though it is often difficult to discern how much of the finished product he actually filmed himself. Ho has directed over 90 films, of which approximately 40 contain the word "ninja" in the title.

I sat through Dragonball Evolution on Sunday. I have never seen a bigger pile of gooseberry fool in my life. :fp: I curse the families of everyone involved in it.

We thought it'd be a good laugh to get drunk and laugh at this film. It wasn't. The memory of watching it still haunts me to this day.

Pumaman and Hobgoblins in particular are absolute abortions, but the mst3k episode featuring pumaman almost made me piss myself laughing, its the only way to see these awful films without wanting to kill yourself

Yep, that's dire. It even makes Heroes look good.

"Savate" is a fantastic crap film. french kick boxer* wanders around the wild west, ridiculous over the top german bad guy (with a legitimately fantastic 'evil guy' sequence that deserves a better film), terrible acting, devolves in to a strange wrestling tournament in a frontier town, ending with the traditional "he's not quite dead" fight sequence.

* think jean claude van damme but with less charisma or acting skills.

I love awful films.

In fact, as far as I'm concerned, the only good film is an awful one.

Ah, so that's where that gif is from! Italian Spiderman is great, by the way.

My contender: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120891/ for most cringeworthy characters and dialogue in a movie ever. Saw it while on a plane, still felt it was a waste of time. :x

Has anyone else seen Troll 2? That was amazing. Beyond awful. Very funny though.

Just about every animal ever has had a comically gooseberry fool horror film made about it. Octopus, Spiders, Piranha and Piranha II (I think James Cameron directed this - it had flying piranha's that made this brilliant whistling whewwhewwhew noise when they flew through the air), and my personal least favourite, Frogs.

Here's a scene from Frogs.

I hated that film so much, that when HMV wouldn't allow me to return it, I posted it along with a note of apology through a random letterbox. I simply couldn't bear to look at it anymore. Awful.
