How easy is bringing your own audio files to Spotify these days then? Last I had it, it was a mess of having to add local files in the desktop app to a specific playlist, then manually syncing that playlist to your phone. While Apple Music lets you just add your music and it’s there for you to stream from the cloud as if the tracks are part of the service.

I haven't put my own music in Spotify for years since it was too much of a pain in the arse syncing it all.

New iPad Pro is effing nuts. M4 chip, OLED screen, and the 13” is the thinnest device Apple have ever made - 5.1mm.

EDIT: oh gooseberry fool, my wishes have been heard. The iPad Air is now available with a 13” screen! I feared the cost of replacing my Pro when the time came. I need the larger screen, but not necessarily the processing power of the Pro, so a 13” Air is perfect. And £500 cheaper. (Well, £400 with equivalent storage.) It’s not like the Air is a slouch - it’s got an M2!

Dude, I can’t say it much clearer than “I need the larger screen”! This is the first time a non-Pro iPad has had the 13” screen.

No intention of buying one yet, but looking ahead to if/when my current Pro fails/stops being supported.

Haha, you try proofreading/markup on the smaller screen. It’s horrible.

Check out the Kindle Scribe. Infinitely better for your eyes.

But that’s even smaller than the 10th gen, and monochrome. No good for me.

When will they make 128GB the standard storage across the board?

Good to see the basic iPad has gone back down to a reasonable price of £349, though thats only for 64GB...... Edit, I get why the base iPad is eternally stuck at 64GB, they want it to be as cheap as possible for schools, but it's far from ideal for people using them at home.

I use a 128gb Pro model for extensive work and the thing is never more than half full.

Its still a premium product though, even being one of Apple's best value items, I also really don't think they'd be spending much more to have 128GB as the base storage n the quantity Apple buy in, sure not everyone will need it, but it adds longevity to the product as well, or if they insist on 64GB being the base, at least drop that down a bit in price and put 128GB in as an option.

Turns out they did!

The new iPads look pretty tasty. The £600 Air is probably the sweet spot but the base 10 getting a £150 price cut I reckon makes it the best computer an average person should buy under £400. Windows and Chrome devices at this price are not pretty.

I can only see a 64/256 option for the standard iPad, it getting a price cut has made it the best value device you can buy again though.
