Im sceptical about revealing tony as the bad guy too early. How can they sustain that over 24 hrs unless hes just a henchman. The Anti-Baur so to speak.

Because the plot will evolve. He is just the starting point. The threat that starts the day is never the threat at the end of the day. In the latest seasons they've had the threat change up to 6 times over the course. They may keep Tony as the bad guy all the way through but he's definitely not the big cheese and the threat he poses will change to keep it fresh.

You know how it is with 24.. they try and convince you that the bad guy at the start is the bad guy.

I'm willing to bet that Tony is dead within 8 hours and a new bad guy is really the head bad-guy.

Edit: What Rodge said.

I thought Redemption gave us a glimpse of who the bad guy would be?

Jon Voight's character? He's too big a name to play just a minor role

I'm betting Tony is just small-fry, and maybe not in league with the big cheese. I reckon he'll turn good before the end.

I don't think I've ever enjoyed a TV series more than seasons 1 and 2 of 24. I used to watch them back when they were on BBC (FOR FREE) and 10:00 to 10:45 every Sunday would be the most intense 45 minutes of my life. The series has clearly gone downhill since season 3 but I still buy all the boxsets and whenever a new one comes out I rinse through it in about two weeks. Needs more Elisha Cuthbert.

Tony can't be the bad guy.

24 has gone downhill now.

I've got an idea of what the Tony story will be...

A few trailers have Chloe and Bill discussing how much to tell Jack about Tony. And, I heard some watercooler buzz that Tony is working for very high people within the government and he's a plant within Voights organisation.

I've got very good feelings about this season. I think it will be as thrilling as season 5 was.

The second one looks particuarly good.

I've never seen 24.

Neither have I, although I actually ordered the first season recently. Figured it was time to finally see what all the fuss is about.

I like this one:

Purely because it's got Jack being so awesome in it! :D
I got chills (and a slight semi) seeing him load that gun and then say "Not today.."

I'm such a Bauer-fag :(

The first season is still the most exciting, tense, and sometimes emotional piece of television I've ever watched. It's very very good.

Jack's new red headed partner looks really good from what I've seen. I'm hoping we're gonna get a few new good characters this season - President Taylor was very strong in Redemption too.

Just incase

One of the main characters from Redemption will die within the first 4 hours I read.

If anyone wants to know what the repeat pattern is for the new series of 24, if you miss an episode and need to know when it's on again, just ask me.

When does the new series start? I don't want to miss it this time.

Sky1 next Monday at 9pm, repeated the next day on Sky2 and back on Sky1 on Saturday 17th. It's a double bill.

Incidentally Redemption is on tonight and repeated again on Sunday on both Sky1 and Sky2.

Saves buying it (I expected this DVD to come down in price in the sales, especially as it's on TV so often, but I was wrong :x )
