As far as the rest of his books go, I've enjoyed those too. I don't think or claim them to be literary masterpieces but I think they're quite entertaining.

Cheers. He is strawberry floating awful isn't he.

I must confess I've only read The Da Vinci Code so maybe I'm jumping the gun, but I don't think so.

I've read them both. You are bang on the money. I only finished them as I was compelled to see how bad they were. They are the literary equivalent of picking at a scab.

I remember reading The DaVinci Code not long after the massive hype around it and finding it laughably bad too. There are obviously appealing aspects to it and kudos go to Dan Brown for doing the research but it all comes to nothing when his narrative and dialogue is just a heap of crap. Reading the synopsis for that (anti matter stolen from CERN :fp: ) only makes me wonder why so many people like his books.

Because Dan Brown's books are brainless, enjoyable popcorn blockbuster type of books. The same reason I like Michael Bay's Transformers.

I liked his books, but I wouldn't class them as masterpieces.

Just returned and I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations, drastically. The movie is, in my opinion, art. Highly exciting and pulse pounding, each of the murders is executed perfectly, with fast exciting operatical music to accompany the action.

I beg any of you who refuse to give it a chance because of the "mess" that was Da Vinci Code to give Angels & Demons a chance, it is honestly very good. Heck I would say, given a few more viewings that it could be my favourite movie of all time.

I seriously struggle to think of any serious negative points about the movie. My dad, who has never read the book said it was excellent and he is hard to please. The music is out of this world, and a certain moment towards the end is just awe inspiring.

This movie deserves a chance, and I hope some of you will hear.

It's not meant to be a 'thinking' series. You're actually meant to just take his word for it, brainlessly enjoy it you pedants!

The plot is even more retarded than the original. I didn't even think that was possible.

It's a movie based on a Dan Brown book, what's so hard to understand?

Wait, so if they already stole the antimatter why do they have to kidnap the cardinals, why not just blow up the city anyway? Looks as bad as the first one IMO.

As a one two punch. The church apparently did the same thing, kidnapping four illuminati scientists, branding them and excuting them in public. Would not be as exciting with just a bomb on it's own.

Promise it is not as bad as the first, but no one belives. One day you'll see. You'll all see.

So the church already grabbed, and killed the scientists, or are they also threatening to kill each scientist as the illuminati kill their people?

Well the church kidnapped, branded and executed the Illuminati scientists in the 1700's. The Illuminati are doing exactly the same thing back to the church three hundred years later when the church is at it's weakest, during conclave. But they are going to go one step further and blow it up to make a point at how far science has come. It's a bit interesting.

Hardly any of the cast could act, in particular Tom Hanks and that bint who was in it. The script was laughably bad, and I felt that the pacing was poor. To be fair, I did enjoy it more towards the end, although that was probably only because I liked the book.

What did you think of the Cardinal executions? I loved all of them, they were pretty horrific for a 12A. Especially Fire.

That's so stupid, so they're going to kill the cardinals off one by one, and then blow up the city, why not just blow it up in the first place! They're just giving the protagonist more time to stop them.
