Does anyone know who's the recipient for the Honorary Oscar this year?

I don't know what it is about Wall-E. Every time I see bits of it, it's really moving, or really funny. I think it's an award worthy film tonight.

First of many I reckon. Still, that's the third one in a row that the film I wanted to win, hasn't. By this I mean Frost/Nixon.

It just wouldn't have been possible without that technology though, so it shouldn't be penalise for being animated.

It's a shame that Beauty and the Beast is still the only one to get Best Picture animation.

Beauty and The Beast is still a great film but not a patch on some of the utter, utter classics that Disney, Pixar and other animated studios have made over the years.

That Japanese guy's speech was class.

They should let more winners have limited English; it saves us from long, overdrawn, schmaltzy acceptance speeches.

Wasn't Beauty and the Beast nominated for Best picture before they brought in the Animated category? If a movie gets as many plaudits as Wall-E did then there's no reason for it not to be put up against the best live action movies.

I hate the Academy.

Is everyone here watching the American stream? I think it's a little bit faster than the Sky Premiere feed.
